Experience Jefferson County is a program offered to help area business people, civic leaders and interested citizens gain a better understanding of the community in which they live, work and play. During the program, participants are exposed to the people and issues that impact their daily lives. With this information, they are better able to suggest solutions, identify new markets and opportunities, and play a larger role in the success of the Jefferson County and its citizens.
Experience Jefferson County provides a broad perspective on the county and its issues. Among the topics covered are county history and government, local finance, education and human services.

Experience Jefferson County participants broaden their knowledge through site visits and one-on-one contacts with county, political, business and civic leaders. Reports and materials are provided to support the program.

Experience Jefferson County identifies county issues for participants and helps them put knowledge to work immediately in jobs, civic activities and personal lives.
